Hopelands Village is the vision and God-given dream of Stephen and Sharon Lamprecht. Having served as leaders for the past 40 years in numerous positions within the church as well as full-time Pastors for the past 20 years, Stephen and Sharon felt God calling them to rise up and follow His plan for them, which has become the Hopelands reality.

Stephen is the driving force behind the Hopelands project and passionately serves as co-Founder and Director. He has also had the honour and privilege of serving as a Director on numerous non-profit organisations. It was while he was serving as a trustee on the board of another NPO that he developed a compassion for orphans during a week-long visit to Watoto in Uganda in October 2004.

It was this passion for the orphaned and lost children of our country that birthed the desire to see a tangible change happen in the lives of those who need it most.

Our accountability

In addition to the leadership of Stephen and Sharon Lamprecht, Hopelands will be overseen by a Board of Directors who, together with a successful team will offer strategic guidance, help with fundraising efforts, and oversee the smooth operation of the organisation on an on-going basis. Our project team will be composed of the most influential persons in their field of expertise and will be used as a resource for business decisions and management.

Our credibility

  • We are connected to a circle of mature Christian leaders who encourage and allow for spiritual accountability.
  • We have a group of businessmen who are our accountability partners for financial credibility.
  • Stephen is ordained as a Pastor of Five Fold Ministries International.
  • Hopelands is modelled on the successful villages of Watoto in Uganda and LIV in Durban.
